The Philippine government has sent a 91-member rescue and medical team to Myanmar for an 18-day humanitarian mission following a magnitude 7.7 earthquake.
The first batch of 58 personnel, including search-and-rescue experts and medical professionals, departed yesterday, with the remaining 33 set to follow.
The team will provide emergency medical care, trauma management, and mental health support, among other services.
Meanwhile, Bishop Broderick Pabillo urged Filipinos to pray for the affected communities, emphasizing disaster preparedness.
The Philippine embassy in Yangon continues efforts to locate four missing Filipinos, but no rescues have been confirmed.
