The Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA) awarded Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Melquiades “Mel” Robles a merit medal and ribbon on Thursday, Sept. 24, recognizing his contributions to the organization.
The PCGA cited Robles, one of its auxiliary commodores, for his volunteerism, compassion, and dedication to public service.
The Philippine Coast Guard said his continued support has helped ease the burden on its personnel and boost their morale in carrying out their duties.
Robles said the PCSO and the Philippine Coast Guard share a common goal of serving and assisting people, particularly during times of need.
He also thanked the Coast Guard for its partnership with the PCSO in humanitarian and charitable activities, saying the recognition strengthened his commitment to their collaboration.
