President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited Zamboanga City on Friday, November 28, where he met with military officials and acknowledged the Western Mindanao Command’s success in addressing internal threats while transitioning to external defense operations.
He emphasized the government’s continued support for the Armed Forces and the importance of maintaining regional security gains.
Marcos led the distribution of assistance to 600 indigenous group members, providing hygiene kits, health services, and other aid through the DSWD Serbisyo Caravan.
He also announced P5.57 million in TUPAD wages for 1,276 disadvantaged workers and distributed 10 fishing boats to 150 members of the Maasin Fisherfolk Association.
The visit highlighted both national security initiatives and programs aimed at improving livelihoods and health in underserved communities.
