Rep. Carmelo Lazatin Jr. will distribute 5-kilogram sacks of rice to more than 19,000 tricycle and jeepney drivers in Pampanga’s first district as a form of assistance amid rising fuel prices.
The aid will be given starting the first week of May across Angeles City, Mabalacat City, and Magalang, covering members of transport operators and drivers associations.
Lazatin said the initiative aims to help drivers struggling with higher fuel costs and economic pressures affecting their livelihoods.
The program continues his long-running support for the transport sector through personal and family-backed donations.
