Dani Barretto opened up on the “Almost Honest” podcast with Kylie Verzosa, recalling what she and her siblings allegedly witnessed during her parents’ relationship, describing a childhood marked by frequent yelling and conflict involving her father, actor-comedian Dennis Padilla.
She said these experiences left a lasting impact on them and shared that she felt relieved when her mother, Marjorie Barretto, eventually left the relationship and became stronger afterward.
Dennis later responded in the comments section, denying some of Dani’s claims and saying he felt “abused” and misunderstood, while teasing a detailed point-by-point reply.
Dani then issued a lengthy rebuttal, insisting she and her siblings personally witnessed the incidents and accusing her father of misrepresenting past events and blaming others.
As of now, Dennis has yet to respond further, while netizens remain divided over the exchange, with some supporting Dani’s account and others calling for Dennis’ side to be heard.
