NORA AUNOR TO BE HONORED WITH STATE FUNERAL SERVICES IN MANILA

A state necrological service will be held for National Artist for Film and Broadcast, Nora Aunor, on April 22 at the Metropolitan Theater in Manila. 

The ceremony, hosted by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), will include eulogies from prominent figures like Ian de Leon, Ricky Lee, Charo Santos Concio, and Joel Lamangan. 

Aunor, who passed away on April 16 at 71, was celebrated for her remarkable career that spanned five decades, with iconic films such as “Himala” and “Bona.” 

The public is invited to attend, with limited seating available through online registration, while the event will also be livestreamed. 

Aunor, affectionately known as “Ate Guy,” was recognized as a National Artist in 2022 for her contributions to Filipino arts and culture.
