Over 1,500 families in Valenzuela City received financial aid from the National Housing Authority (NHA) and the local government to repair homes damaged by recent typhoons.
Each of the 1,521 beneficiaries was granted P10,000 through the Emergency Housing Assistance Program, totaling P15.2 million in aid.
The assistance targets victims of typhoons Crising, Dante, Emong, and the enhanced habagat that struck the city in July.
NHA General Manager Joeben Tai emphasized that the aid reflects the national government’s commitment to helping calamity survivors.
Valenzuela Mayor Weslie Gatchalian also highlighted ongoing flood mitigation efforts and urged residents to maintain cleanliness to prevent further flooding.
