NEW UNACOM MEMBERS AND GOVERNMENT APPOINTMENTS REVEALED BY PBBM

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has appointed new members to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) National Commission of the Philippines (UNACOM). 

The Presidential Communications Office announced the appointments, which include Education Secretary Sonny Angara and Bangsamoro Education Minister Mohagber Iqbal on the Education Committee, while Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio Balisacan joins the Social and Human Sciences Committee. 

The Culture Committee will feature National Museum Director Jeremy Robert Barns and Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, among others. 

Additionally, Environment Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga and Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum Jr. will serve on the Science and Technology Committee. 

The commission, established in 1951, facilitates collaboration between Philippine partners and UNESCO in various educational, scientific, and cultural matters.
