On Thursday, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced the appointment of several new government officials approved by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. as of October 8 and 9.
Notable appointments include Juanito “Jonvic” Remulla Jr. as the Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), who has pledged to address issues related to Philippine offshore gaming operators (Pogos) in Cavite.
The Department of Trade and Industry welcomed multiple foreign trade service officers, including Jose Maria Dinsay and Magnolia Misolas-Ashley, among others.
The PCO also appointed Emerald Anne Ridao as senior undersecretary and Florante Solmerin as director III.
Additionally, Ricardo Salomon Jr. was named a member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board, and Gener Gito and Ermin Ernest Miguel were appointed as associate justices of the Sandiganbayan.
