NBI Director Jaime Santiago revealed that the fingerprints of suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo did not match those of another Alice Guo who applied for an NBI clearance in 2005.
Both individuals share the same birthday and birthplace in Tarlac, prompting an investigation into whether the other Alice Guo was instructed to confuse authorities.
Senator Risa Hontiveros stated that this discovery does not impact the ongoing Senate inquiry into Mayor Guo’s alleged links to illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs).
Hontiveros emphasized that the investigation focuses on Mayor Alice Guo, who is not a Filipino citizen. The Senate inquiry is set to resume on July 10.
