Philippine Spring Water Resources Inc. (PSWRI), maker of Nature’s Spring bottled water, has committed to keeping prices unchanged as the country prepares for a strong El Niño, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said.
Trade Secretary Cristina Roque secured the assurance during a visit to the company’s Bulacan plant, citing its production capacity, reserve stocks, and nationwide distribution network.
The company plans to extend production hours and maintain reserve supplies to meet increased demand during the expected dry conditions.
The DTI also urged consumers not to panic-buy or hoard bottled water, assuring them that current supplies remain sufficient.
Meanwhile, the agency continues to monitor prices of water containers and storage items and warned that violators may face penalties.
