President Marcos will visit Washington from July 20 to 22 to strengthen economic, defense, and security cooperation with the United States, according to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
Invited by US President Trump, Marcos is the first ASEAN head of state to meet with him since he took office.
The visit will include meetings with top US officials, including State Secretary Rubio and Defense Secretary Hegseth, ahead of a scheduled sit-down with Trump at the White House on July 22.
Key agenda items include regional security issues, the West Philippine Sea, military assistance, and addressing the 20% US tariff on Philippine goods.
Marcos will also meet with American business leaders to boost economic ties and investment opportunities.
