Malacañang on Friday said there is currently no Cabinet reshuffle, but President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is reviewing records related to DENR Secretary Raphael Lotilla.
PCO Undersecretary Claire Castro confirmed the President and the Presidential Management Staff are examining Lotilla’s records, particularly after his appointment was bypassed by the Commission on Appointments for the third time.
Castro declined to confirm whether any leadership changes at the DENR are forthcoming, saying updates will be shared once available.
She also addressed concerns about the number of Cabinet officials serving in acting capacities, noting that Marcos has instructed that appointments be submitted to the Commission on Appointments promptly.
The Palace emphasized that any decisions regarding leadership or appointments will follow the ongoing review and procedural requirements.
