President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has announced the third wave of Cabinet reshuffling, retaining 21 top officials, including key economic and defense leaders, while ending the tenure of four others.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said the retained officials, including secretaries from education, labor, health, and tourism, are expected to show improved performance amid ongoing evaluations.
The president accepted the resignations of four officials, including the heads of the Urban Poor Commission and the Office of Muslim Affairs.
Bersamin also introduced Francis Lim, former PSE president, as the new chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Additionally, Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla was reassigned to the DENR, with Ramon Aliling named to replace him in housing.
