Speaking at the 2025 Jobstreet Career Con, he emphasized the government’s improved job facilitation efforts, including job fairs and reskilling programs.
The Philippine Statistics Authority reported a decline in the unemployment rate, with 1.66 million jobless Filipinos in November 2024, down from 1.97 million in October.
Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma highlighted over 5,000 available jobs at the Career Con and noted efforts to assist workers displaced by the POGO ban.
The event, featuring over 100 companies, aims to connect job seekers with employers across various industries.
