President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Republic Act No. 12310, expanding the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System to improve governance and management.
The law aims to establish more accessible PSHS campuses offering scholarship-based STEM education for students excelling in science and math.
It also consolidates all current and future campuses under one unified system to ensure quality and efficient operations.
A new PSHS campus will be created in the Negros Island Region.
The law mandates a Board of Trustees led by the Science and Technology Secretary, with an executive director overseeing all campuses.
