Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval continues to provide assistance to nearly 3,000 residents affected by flooding caused by a damaged navigational gate along the Malabon-Navotas River.
The mayor personally visited evacuation centers in Flores and Hulong Duhat, distributing food packs and medicines to the displaced residents.
City Administrator Alexander Rosete highlighted Sandoval’s efforts to expedite repairs on the gate with the help of agencies like the DPWH and MMDA.
The City Social Welfare and Development Department conducted assessments to address immediate needs, while the City Engineering Office initiated de-clogging activities to mitigate future flooding risks in collaboration with local officials.
