MALABON CITY OPENS CEMETERY WITH COMPLIMENTARY CREMATION SERVICES

The Malabon City government has reopened the Tugatog Public Cemetery (TPC), which was closed for renovations in 2021. 

Mayor Jeannie Sandoval announced that the city is offering free cremation services for remains exhumed during the cemetery’s redevelopment, which is still ongoing. 

City Administrator Alexander Rosete explained that the renovations were necessary due to limited space, prompting a partial reopening to allow families to visit their loved ones. 

The city distributed consent forms for families wishing to utilize the free cremation service, with over 500 families taking advantage of the offer.
