The city government of Baguio encouraged tourists to visit the city this summer, citing lighter traffic and a more relaxed atmosphere due to the oil crisis.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the reduced number of visitors has eased congestion, making it an ideal time to experience the city.
He assured that Baguio remains ready to welcome tourists while continuing efforts to ensure safety, cleanliness, and a pleasant stay.
The city is also supporting transport workers, with financial assistance distributed to taxi drivers under its social welfare program.
Similar aid has been extended to jeepney drivers using funds from the city’s crisis assistance program.
