The city government of Baguio City is encouraging tourists to visit the Summer Capital as it experiences a noticeable drop in arrivals, resulting in lighter traffic and a more relaxed atmosphere.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said the current situation offers a rare chance for visitors to enjoy the city’s attractions without the usual congestion during peak seasons.
He noted that reduced tourist numbers have led to smoother traffic flow and shorter queues at popular destinations, making travel more convenient.
Local businesses are also expected to benefit if more tourists take advantage of the less crowded conditions and continue supporting the city’s tourism sector.
The city assured that it remains ready to welcome visitors while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and a comfortable experience for all.
