‘MACHONG CHISMISAN’ HOSTS ISSUE APOLOGY OVER JOSH AQUINO REMARKS

The hosts of the podcast “Machong Chismisan” and its producer, The Pod Network, have apologized following public backlash over insensitive remarks about Joshua “Josh” Aquino, the eldest son of Kris Aquino.

The controversy stemmed from the podcast’s Oct. 5 episode, which was later removed after netizens criticized comments about Josh and his disability.

Co-hosts Tito P, Makoy Pare, and Lawrence Vivar issued apologies, acknowledged their responsibility, and pledged to be more respectful moving forward.

The Pod Network also announced plans to establish editorial guidelines covering disability, mental health, minors, and family members of public figures.

Meanwhile, television host Boy Abunda condemned the remarks as cruel and advised Kris to consider taking legal action against the podcasters.
