The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has approved 1,131 special permits for passenger buses in preparation for the 2026 Undas travel rush.
The permits cover 384 applications intended to increase public transportation capacity as Filipinos travel to their hometowns for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
Most of the authorized buses will depart from Metro Manila, serving destinations across Northern, Central, and Southern Luzon, as well as the Bicol region.
The measure follows the government’s directive to ensure sufficient transportation services and accommodate the expected increase in passengers during the holiday period.
The LTFRB is also reviewing 28 additional applications covering approximately 90 buses to further strengthen transport availability.
