Representative Leandro Leviste donated over 150,000 school bags to students in the 1st District of Batangas, supporting education at the start of the school year.
The bags, filled with grade-level supplies, were distributed at no cost to the government and warmly received by parents, students, and educators across several municipalities.
Leviste, a young billionaire turned public servant, also plans to expand a personal financial assistance program for students.
He has filed a bill proposing a monthly allowance of P1,000 for all Filipino students to help cover food, transportation, and school expenses.
Leviste aims to fund these educational initiatives through proceeds from his business ventures to help break the cycle of poverty in the Philippines.
