LA Tenorio made history as the seventh playing-coach in PBA history while leading Magnolia, activated due to injuries to Jerom Lastimosa and Paul Lee.
Tenorio is expected to continue in this dual role for the Philippine Cup playoffs, with four days left to finalize Magnolia’s roster before their quarterfinal matchup against TNT Tropang 5G.
In his recent outing, Tenorio contributed four points, two rebounds, and three assists in over 13 minutes of play, emphasizing his readiness to step in as needed.
The veteran guard, known as the PBA’s “Iron Man” for playing 744 consecutive games, joins legends like Robert Jaworski Sr. and Ramon Fernandez in this rare dual role.
Despite the challenge, Tenorio called the opportunity a blessing and said he is committed to learning from the team and leading them to success.
