The Iloilo City government has announced an extension of its 40% Real Property Tax (RPT) discount until 2026 to support local property owners.
Mayor Jerry Treñas signed the ordinance, which aims to ease the financial burden on residents and businesses during challenging economic times.
The extension applies to all residential, commercial, and industrial properties within the city, provided they settle their taxes on time.
The local government hopes the discount will encourage timely tax payments, boosting revenue for essential city services.
Treñas also expressed confidence that the measure would help stimulate local economic growth by giving businesses and homeowners more financial flexibility.
