A House committee investigating offshore gaming operations (POGOs) linked to illegal drugs reported being targeted by a coordinated troll campaign. Chair Rep. Robert Ace Barbers accused drug syndicates of funding trolls to undermine their inquiry and intimidate witnesses. Barbers, himself targeted by false allegations, urged citizens to provide credible information. Former Mayor Teddy Tumang was cited in contempt during the hearing for alleged links to POGO operations and land acquisitions in Pampanga. The investigation has revealed suspected ties between POGOs and organized crime.
