Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo confirmed she plans to make her final Olympic run at the 2028 Los Angeles Games, expressing her continued passion and commitment to the sport.
Although her readiness depends on factors like her family life and weight divisions, Diaz-Naranjo remains optimistic about competing again and has gradually returned to training.
She acknowledged challenges, such as changes in Olympic weight classes that affected her previous competition category.
Currently, she is focusing on the National Weightlifting Championships and aims to compete in the Southeast Asian Games and Olympic qualifiers in the coming years.
Diaz-Naranjo was also recently named ambassador of Jollibee’s “Bida Best Bida Pinoy” campaign, alongside other prominent Filipino athletes.
