The Marcos administration is committed to making the Philippines more peaceful to attract more tourists and investments, Malacañang said on Thursday.
The country improved its ranking in the 2025 Global Peace Index, placing 105th out of 163 countries—the best in eight years.
Palace press officer Claire Castro urged media and content creators to promote positive stories about the Philippines and avoid negative issues that could harm the country’s image.
She emphasized that a peaceful environment would encourage more foreign visitors and boost economic growth through tourism and investment.
The government plans to intensify efforts to improve the country’s reputation and attract more international attention.
