Senior Deputy Speaker Aurelio Gonzales Jr. expressed gratitude to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his continuous provincial visits aimed at assisting farmers and other sectors, emphasizing that these efforts are not politically motivated but geared towards improving agricultural livelihoods.
Marcos participated in three events on Friday, distributing cash aid and other forms of support to farmers and fisherfolk in Aurora and Pampanga, helping them recover from the impacts of the recent El Niño phenomenon.
Gonzales highlighted the significance of Marcos’ initiatives in alleviating poverty and supporting agricultural development, echoing sentiments from local leaders who praised Marcos for bringing national aid closer to communities.
Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo also commended Marcos for assisting Central Luzon, emphasizing the region’s role in supplying food to other parts of the Philippines.
