Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian supports holding an executive session to gather details on allegations that a former PNP chief is on the payroll of illegal Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGO).
Gatchalian emphasized the need for more information after the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) revealed “raw” details about the case in a Senate hearing.
The investigation is part of a broader probe into POGO-related crimes involving former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, who faces multiple charges.
Gatchalian also called for Guo’s transfer to a regular jail, as she remains in PNP custody.
Sen. Risa Hontiveros noted that while Guo has posted bail for graft charges, she still faces non-bailable human trafficking charges.
