Senator Sherwin Gatchalian revealed that baptismal certificates purportedly issued by a Caloocan church for Alice Guo’s brothers, Wesley and Seimen, are fake.
Gatchalian’s staff investigated the Parokya ng San Roque church, which confirmed that no such records exist. He emphasized that fraud can originate from various sources, including false documents.
Gatchalian has called for the Philippine Statistics Authority to investigate further to uncover the full extent of the issue.
This revelation follows arrest orders for Alice Guo and her family members over their refusal to attend a Senate hearing on allegations of ties to an illegal POGO firm and concerns about her citizenship.
