The Philippine-American Educational Foundation (Fulbright Philippines) and Aboitiz Foundation Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to launch scholarship and training programs focused on STEM, energy, sustainability, and environmental policy.
The partnership, formalized at the US Chief of Mission’s residence in Makati City, aims to provide Filipino students with international education and research opportunities in the United States.
It will also support human resource development initiatives and bring global expertise to Philippine universities.
Fulbright Philippines Executive Director Julio Amador III noted the significance of collaborating with the private sector, marking this as the foundation’s first partnership.
Aboitiz Foundation Chairman Sabin Aboitiz emphasized the value of education in shaping the country’s future and fostering innovation and sustainable growth.
