Puerto Rican-born volleyball star Gabi Garcia has become a key player for the United States in the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championships, guiding the team to the quarterfinals with his strong scoring and serving.
Garcia, who switched federations in 2022, delivered 26 points in the USA’s four-set victory over Slovenia, showcasing his dominance on both offense and defense.
Beyond the court, he shared inspiring words for island youth, urging them to work hard, stay strong, and lean on family support in life’s challenges.
Garcia also expressed gratitude to Filipino fans, describing their overwhelming support as making games in the Philippines feel like home.
The USA will face Bulgaria in the knockout quarterfinals on September 25.
