The duo filed their COCs at the Amoranto Sports Complex, with Belmonte emphasizing the positive impact her administration has had on residents’ lives and her commitment to social services, health, and economic development.
In Makati, Senator Nancy Binay is seeking to switch positions with her sister, Mayor Abby Binay, who will run for senator.
Nancy expressed sadness over the political divide within their family but insisted she was not running against her sister.
Their father, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, has endorsed Nancy’s candidacy as she aims to continue the legacy of service in Makati.
