Dua Lipa has filed a $15 million lawsuit against Samsung, accusing the company of using her image on television packaging without her permission.
The case, filed in California, claims the photo used was taken during her 2024 Austin City Limits Festival performance and was used to promote Samsung products.
Her legal team alleges copyright and trademark infringement, saying Samsung benefited from her global fame and ignored demands to stop using the image.
The issue reportedly gained attention after fans noticed the packaging online, which was nicknamed the “Dua Lipa TV Box.”
Samsung has denied wrongdoing, saying the image came from a third-party provider and that it believed proper permissions were secured.
