President Ferdinand Marcos announced that the national government is evaluating the Cordillera Administrative Region’s (CAR) request for additional funds to advance a priority project.
Speaking during a government assistance distribution event in Apayao on July 19, Marcos assured the region that infrastructure development, including the construction of the Apayao Sports Complex, is ongoing.
The Department of Public Works and Highways is reviewing the request for more funding. Additionally, Marcos revealed that P83 million has been allocated for food and non-food items to support the region during the rainy season.
He also highlighted ongoing priority projects like the Marimay Earthfill Dam and Piddig-Carasi-Calanasan Road, which are expected to be completed next year.
