The Department of Health (DOH) raised a Code White Alert on Friday night, July 18, as Tropical Storm Crising nears landfall, prompting emergency preparations in potentially affected regions.
Under this alert, medical teams and emergency personnel are on standby, while medicines, equipment, and response units are being prepositioned.
The DOH also confirmed that emergency hotlines, including 911 and local response units, are ready to assist those in need.
According to PAGASA, Crising is expected to make landfall over northeastern Cagayan or the Babuyan Islands by Friday night.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 has been raised in several northern provinces, where strong winds may bring minor to moderate damage.
