Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon said the investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects in Taguig City remains ongoing, with initial findings already forwarded to the Office of the Ombudsman.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) identified possible discrepancies in several projects that still require further validation.
Dizon clarified that Taguig was not among the 10 projects nationwide that the agency had conclusively identified as ghost projects at the time of the Senate budget hearing.
The initial report reportedly included discrepancies in project coordinates, with some locations pointing to areas outside Taguig, including Leyte.
Authorities are continuing to examine the projects, and the final findings and any subsequent action will depend on the ongoing investigation and the Ombudsman’s review.
