The heads of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) submitted courtesy resignations on Thursday.
This move aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to recalibrate his administration following the May 12 midterm elections.
DICT Secretary Henry Aguda and DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon both expressed commitment to continue delivering public service despite stepping down.
MMDA Chair Romando Artes also confirmed he will comply with the President’s directive.
The resignations reflect Marcos’s push to realign his cabinet to meet the public’s needs better better and accelerate government projects.
