DICT CHIEF IVAN UY RESIGNS AMID MARCOS CABINET RESHUFFLE

Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan Uy has resigned, making him the third Cabinet official to step down in less than a month.

Malacañang confirmed President Marcos accepted Uy’s resignation but did not disclose the reason behind it. Uy’s exit follows the recent departures of Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista and Presidential Communications Secretary Cesar Chavez.

DICT officials were caught off guard by the resignation, with some initially dismissing it as “fake news.”

An officer-in-charge will be appointed until Marcos names a permanent replacement, as the administration continues to evaluate its Cabinet leadership.
