DAVAO COURT’S TPO FOR KJC DECLARED INVALID BY APPEALS COURT

The Court of Appeals in Cagayan de Oro has nullified a temporary protection order (TPO) issued by a Davao court in favor of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC).

The TPO was declared void because the Davao court acted without proper authority in handling the Amparo case.

The order was originally issued after a police raid on KJC’s 30-hectare compound to arrest fugitive televangelist Apollo Quiboloy.

The TPO had instructed police to cease actions that threatened the group’s members.

Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla defended the police operation, citing its legal basis.
