Davao City aims to attract 2.5 million tourists in 2025, according to the City Tourism Operations Office (CTTO).
CTTO head Jennifer Romero expressed confidence in reaching this target, citing the city’s successful events such as Araw ng Dabaw, Duaw Dabaw, Kadayawan Festival, and Pasko Fiesta.
Last year, Davao welcomed over 1.8 million visitors, surpassing the 1.2 million in 2023.
The CTTO is also promoting MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) incentives to further boost tourism.
Notable events like the Kadayawan Festival drew significant crowds, including 190,068 visitors in August.
