The Didipio Mine, operated by Canadian OceanaGold (Philippines) Inc., has completed a P3 million farm-to-market road project in Barangay Dullao, Bambang, benefiting local farmers and residents.
Desiree Baldevino, the mine’s external affairs and social performance superintendent, announced that this is the first Community Development Fund (CDF) project in the municipality, part of a broader P75 million allocation for 25 barangays.
The 288-meter road will improve access for 150 families, enabling 100 farmers to transport their products more easily and helping students reach school.
Barangay captain Romuel Martinez expressed gratitude for the project, which he believes will enhance agricultural productivity by streamlining transport to commercial areas.
Vice Mayor Arnel Duldulao noted that similar projects funded by the mining company in neighboring provinces have positively impacted local communities.
