The Pasay City government conducted clearing and cleaning operations along major roads on August 27 to ensure safe passage for motorists and pedestrians.
The effort involved the Barangay Road Clearing Operations (BaRCO) team, which targets obstructions like illegal structures and roadside vendors.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the team dismantled makeshift stalls, removed garbage, and cleared pathways along Taft Avenue, Aurora Boulevard, and Andrews Avenue.
The operation also included inspecting center islands and footbridges to improve accessibility and reduce traffic hazards.
The city government urged the public to avoid setting up structures or vending in prohibited areas to maintain safety and order.
