COMELEC TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR 186,000 TEACHERS AHEAD OF 2025 ELECTIONS

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is set to train over 186,000 teachers for their roles as electoral board (EB) members for the 2025 midterm elections.

The training will take place from March 3 to 31, with some sessions potentially extending into the first week of April to accommodate feedback and synchronize schedules with the Department of Education.

According to Comelec’s Human Resources and Technical Support Group head, Dir. Margaret Ching, the training will include teachers from both public and private schools.

Additionally, 9,766 Philippine National Police officers will be trained as special EB members.

The three-month training for all election workers commenced on Monday and will continue until April.
