COMELEC TACKLES 300 NUISANCE CANDIDATES

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will start resolving petitions to declare around 300 local candidates as nuisance for the 2025 elections. After completing 47 senatorial cases, Comelec aims to finalize the remaining 117 by month-end, ensuring a streamlined list for the December candidate lineup. Comelec Chairman George Garcia confirmed efforts to expedite all nuisance case resolutions to clean up the official candidate list by December.
