The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has extended the deadline for over five million deactivated voters to reactivate their registration until September 25.
This extension follows a low reactivation response, with only 10 percent of deactivated voters having applied so far.
Voters can reactivate their status online if their biometrics are registered with Comelec.
The original deadline was September 7, and the extension aims to ensure more voters can participate in the 2025 midterm elections.
As of now, there are over six million registered voters for the upcoming elections, with 6,250,050 applications processed since February.
