COMELEC EYES SENATORIAL PROCLAMATION BY FRIDAY

The Commission on Elections (Comelec), through its National Board of Canvassers, aims to proclaim the 12 winning senators by Friday, with official canvassing of 175 Certificates of Canvass now underway.

As of May 13, about 80–85% of the COCs had been received, while the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting reported 97.28% vote transmission.

Partial results place Sen. Bong Go as the leading senatorial candidate, expressing gratitude and reaffirming his commitment to public service.

Meanwhile, the PPCRV clarified that previous data discrepancies were due to file format issues, but affirmed confidence in Comelec’s transparency.

Senator-elects are expected to be formally proclaimed in separate ceremonies to honor their mandate, as the country prepares for the 20th Congress and key legislative duties, including an impeachment trial.
