Quezon City retained its title as the richest local government unit (LGU) in the Philippines, reporting total assets of ₱443.37 billion for 2023.
The Commission on Audit’s (COA) latest report highlighted the city’s significant increase in assets, driven by efficient revenue collection and strategic investments.
Makati City ranked second with ₱239.7 billion in assets, while Manila City came third with ₱76.5 billion.
Mayor Joy Belmonte attributed Quezon City’s financial strength to good governance and sustainable development initiatives.
The city government continues to prioritize programs that improve public services and economic growth for its residents.
