CITY DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN VALENZUELA TO REVIEW PROJECTS

Valenzuela Mayor Weslie “Wes” Gatchalian has convened the City Development Council (CDC) to discuss the progress of current projects and future socioeconomic programs. 

During the meeting, Gatchalian and City Engineering Office head Reynaldo Sunga reviewed ongoing initiatives and presented plans for new infrastructure projects, emphasizing the importance of sustainability. 

A key highlight was the allocation of the City Development Fund, amounting to P474,564,630, sourced from 20 percent of the National Tax Allocation, which will support various programs, including the second phase of the Valenzuela Children’s Park and streetlight installations. 

Gatchalian reiterated the significance of these projects for enhancing public spaces and improving residents’ quality of life as he campaigns for a second term in the upcoming May 2025 midterm elections. 

The meeting was attended by city officials, barangay chairmen, and representatives from local NGOs, reinforcing Valenzuela’s commitment to sustainable development and a thriving community.
